On 31st December 2019, Bethelites eager to crossover into the new year started to trickle into church as early as 1800hrs all dressed in white.
It marked the last service of 2019 and indeed a close of a decade. The sick came, the weary showed up, the jobless and desperate for change were also. Those who just wanted to thank God were also not left behind. They all came to seek God’s face.
When the awaited time approached Prophet Julius Haamuchenje introduced the theme of the year “Let there be light” as found in Gen 1:3 and went ahead to lead everyone in the service to light a candle to signify light in their lives.
On the 5th of January 2020, two Evangelists, Mr. Moagi and Mr. Obakeng accompanied by other members of Bethel Gaborone travelled to Bethel Maphashala for a candle lit service, an extension of the event held in Gaborone. The sick were healed and many received light and hope for new light as they ushered 2020.
