God has not given us the Spirit of fear, but He gave us the Spirit of
power, the Spirit of dominion, the Spirit of Love and a sound mind. But
we tend to give in to fear, and that does not produce the faith that God
promises us. Fear is born by what is induced in you, by what you see, by
what you hear and what you allow yourself to perceive. We are not born
with fear, we are not created to fear, but we have been given Faith, to
overcome the world. Many of us our biggest fear is man, we fear the very
image God created in His likeness, we fear the very vessels that God
created more than God Himself. Then this is what becomes our God, as we
now beginning to worship these men, we begin to seek their loyalty and
their approval and once we do not get it, we say God has forsaken us,
just because we did not get what we expected from man. We fear
standingfor the truth and speaking the truth because we fear mans
rejection, we fear being reproached by man, we fear being insulted by
man. What can the loyalty of man bring you except worldly gain, worldly
possession that perishes just like the source. Isaiah 51:7 “Listen to
Me, you who know righteousness, You people in whose heart is My law: Do
not fear the reproach of men, nor be afraid of their insults”. Tell me
what can a mans insult do to you, what can they change in you, what can
they take away from you if God is for you? We fear to stand for Gods
Truth because we seek to be at peace with man, we seek to be
acknowledged by man, we do not want to lose friends or relatives or
become strangers to them. Psalms 69:7-9 “Because for Your sake I have
borne reproach; Shame has covered my face. I have become a stranger to
my brothers, and an alien to my mothers children; because the Zeal for
Your house has eaten me up, and the reproaches of those who reproach You
have fallen on me”. We can as christian expect to be loved for the
truth, Jesus Himself was beaten, spat on, insulted, reproached and even
denied by those close to Him, for the Truth. Stand firm for the truth,
and you will continue in the presence of the Lord. Psalms 118:8 “It is
better to seek refuge in God, than to trust in the hearts of human
beings”
